Canadian Jerk ($10)


A gateway hot sauce for the aspiring hot sauce lover. If you never had or liked hot sauce before, this is a good sauce to start with. Inspired by my wife and co-owner of Haico’s Hot Sauce who did not even use pepper on her pork chops before I came into her life. This sauce is mild and even when you do not like spicy stuff, it  will give you a great flavor sensation with a little bit of a bite.

Ingredients: Hungarian Wax Peppers, Onion, Water, Apple Cider Vinegar, Mirin, Soya Sauce, Fresh Herbs and Spices.

The Riptides Present!  Soylent Green ($10)

Made for The Riptides 20th anniversary tour!  Soylent Green is their favourite movie.  Fun fact!!  The movie was made in 1973…but took place in 2022!!

The Riptides Present!  Red Dawn ($10)

Made for The Riptides 20th anniversary tour.  Red Dawn is reference to a song on their album “Hang Out”  Another fun fact!  The Riptide sauce labels were designed by Glen Paradis of Barnstormer Studio!  The sauce was also chosen as one of the top 15 Canadian sauces by Chatelaine Magazine staff.

Ingredients: Chili Peppers (Cayenne, Ring of Fire), Vidalia Onions, Water, Apple Cider Vinegar, Tomato Paste, Dark Maple Syrup, Fresh Herbs and Spices, Soy Sauce

Ring of Fire ($10)

Ring of Fire is the name of the pepper….not the after effect!! Despite it’s name, this is one of the milder hot sauces. The name comes from the fiery red chilly pepper that is used for this recipe.  The combination of fresh peaches, hot peppers and fresh basil are a sure hit with anyone who likes hot sauce with a smooth flavor.  A great addition to any pasta dish, tacos, nachos and many other meals.

Ingredients: Ring of Fire Peppers, Cayenne Peppers, Onion, Peaches, Tomato Paste, Apple Cider Vinegar, Water, Freshly Squeezed Limes, Mirin, Fresh Herbs and Spices

Smoke N’ Burn ($15)

Mustard Menace ($10)


Hot mustard has always been a staple in English cooking. With Mustard Menace, hot mustard is getting a whole new meaning. A combination of mustard, mangoes and Habanero’s gives this sauce a great kick that is even enjoyed by people not particularly fond of hot sauce. Great for burgers, hot dogs and fish dishes. Unsurprisingly,  a great hit with Englishmen all around the city.

Ingredients: Habaneros, Thai Chilies, Mango, Yellow Mustard, Brown Sugar, Apple Cider Vinegar, Fresh Herbs and Spices.

Stray Dog Brewing Company presents Hounds of Hell ($15)


Hounds of Hell is a collaboration between local brewer Stray Dog Brewing Company and Haico’s Hot Sauce. The name was chosen after an online contest.  Enjoy the flavours starting with Smoked Habanero’s, then the freshness of the  freshly orange juice and lime juice and finish off with the hoppiness of the Shaggin’ Wagon IPA. This is a fan favourite!  .

Ingredients: Smoked Habaneros, Vidalia Onions, Stray Dog Shaggin’ Wagon IPA, Freshly Squeezed Oranges and Limes, Apple Cider Vinegar, and Garlic.

50 Shades of Pain ($15)

This is rumoured to be origin of Christian Grey’s twisted mind. A combination of Ghost peppers, 7 Pot peppers, Habaneros, Jalapenos, Hungarian Wax peppers and other fresh ingredients are enough to give anyone deviant desires. Try it at your own risk. Not nearly the hottest sauce of them all, but hot enough to feel the whip tingling your tongue.

Ingredients: Ghost Peppers, Habaneros, 7 Pot Peppers, Jalapeno, Hungarian Wax Peppers, Onion, Freshly Squeezed Lime Juice, Apple Cider Vinegar, Water, Soya Sauce, Fresh Herbs and Spices.

Garlic Ghost ($15)

This pepper sauce combines three of the hottest peppers in the world (Naga Viper, Moruga Scorpion and Yellow Ghost) with almost everybody’s favorite… Garlic!  This well balanced sauce gives you the heat and flavor you would expect from a gourmet hot sauce. Smooth, hot, and a certain way to keep vampires at bay! (Bring it on Count Dracula!!)

Ingredients: Naga Viper, Moruga Scorpion, Ghost peppers, Hungarian Wax peppers, Mango, Cider Vinegar, Water, Mustard, Garlic, Fresh Herbs and Spices.

Scorpion’s Kiss ($15)

Inspired by my good friend, Jorge who mentioned that the sauces I make are great in flavor, but could be more spicy. Be warned, Jorge grew up in a country where they drink hot sauce for breakfast. This sauce is made with fresh Scorpion peppers, currently the second hottest pepper in the world. A combination of fresh herbs and spices and other ingredients will not only give you the burn you desire, but make it a pleasant flavor sensation at the same time.

Ingredients: Ghost Peppers, Trinidad Scorpion Peppers, Jalapenos, Water, Apple Cider Vinegar, Onion, Dark Maple Syrup, Fresh Herbs and Spice.

Not for the faint of heart! But WOW! That flavor! It is sure to get your endorphins going!

What to make for the avid Hot Sauce lover that is always looking for a hotter sauce with flavour?  Here is a potentially dangerous concoction of Reaper, Ghost and Moruga Scorpion peppers and no filler peppers to create Devil’s Brew.

Ingredients:  Carolina Reaper, Moruga Scorpion and Ghost Pepper (30% of the bottle!) Vidalia Onion, Mangos, Peaches, Freshly Squeezed Lime Juice, Roma Tomatoes, Garlic, Apple Cider Vinegar, Water, Dark Maple Syrup, Fresh Herbs and Spices

Haico’s Honey Mustard (Not Just) BBQ started it’s life as a limited edition BBQ sauce originally created to celebrate Canada’s 150th birthday. It quickly became very popular and people started using it on everything!!!

What can YOUR imagination come up with??

Not Just BBQ Sauce won third place for Honey Mustard BBQ Sauce in the World Hot Sauce Awards in Louisiana in 2019.
